On Sunday, November 2, the Captain Matthew Ramsay Society held a
Veterans Tribute at the Veterans Memorial located in the City of Santa Clara.
The memorial was privately funded with the City of Santa Clara providing the
area in Central Park. Mayor Patricia M. Mahan along with many veterans
attend the first memorial tribute. Two veterans spoke about their time in the
service and what being a Veterans means. The meeting was conducted by
Captain Matthew Ramsay President, Zachary Schmitz. Canyon Read a
society member played both the Star Spangle Banner and Taps on his trumpet
for the ceremony. Members of the society participated in distribution of
flowers and flags to the veterans and their wives and led the audience in the
both the American's Creed and the C.A.R. Creed.

Captain Matthew Ramsay Society is located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The society meetings are held the first
Sunday of each month at 2:00. The meeting location changes from month to month. For more information, contact
